Christian Welin is Vice President of Analytics for Cox Communications (CCI) in Atlanta, Georgia. His teams are responsible for strategic initiatives focused around evolving Cox Communications in the field of data analysis, data science and advanced analytics. Over the last four years at Cox, Christian has led many of the Technology organization’s most complex transformational programs and recently transitioned into a new role leading the creation of a business/technology hybrid analytics CoE organization. The new Analytics COE has transformed the use of analytics resulting in significant cost savings for Cox while enabling future competitive advantages through advanced analytics. Before joining Cox Communications, Christian worked for various consulting firms leading large scale business transformation and data science teams in the telecom, high-tech and cable industry. He is recognized as a thought leader and change enabler within some of the largest transformational programs in North America. Prior to moving to the U.S., Christian’s early career was focused around leading technology teams to disrupt the traditional fixed telecom providers in Europe, as markets were being de-regulated from government monopoly. Christian has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Linkoping University in Sweden, a Master’s Degree in Communication Systems from University of Birmingham in England, and MBA from a combination of Bond University in Australia and Northwestern University in Chicago. Christian and his wife currently live in Atlanta with their two children.
