Debra Lemons
Director of Interior Design
Hunton Brady Architects

With over 25 years in the practice of architecture and interior design and licenses in multiple states, Debra Lemons specializes in design of healthcare, commercial and hospitality projects. As Director of Interior Design at HuntonBrady, Debra leads interior architecture and design phase activities for most projects. She manages a specialized team of interior designers and architects working closely in collaboration with the principals, project designers, project managers and the clients we serve. Having spent over 18 years in hospitality design, Debra demonstrates a unique passion and design philosophy toward “Guest Experience,” which in a paradigm of consumerism, translates seamlessly across all markets in the form of employee experience, patient experience, student experience, and customer experience. She served as a hospitality “Contrarian” for Florida Hospital in Orlando on the Ginsburg Tower, Celebration, and Women’s Tower. Her unique approach identifies the culture, psychographics, and demographics of the owner, developer, operator, and the customer combined with evidence-based design research to develop unique and purposefully designed experiences. She has served as a panelist and presenter at several resort development conventions and published articles in development magazines on the subject of guest and customer experience in the resort industry. Debra is a member of the Central Florida chapters of American Institute of Architects, IIDA, and Commercial Real Estate Women. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design and Master of Architecture from Texas Tech University in 1989 and 1994 respectively, and was a partner in a local hospitality design firm before joining HuntonBrady in 2014. She resides in Orlando, Florida with her husband and two daughters.
