Tony Perez is the Assistant Vice President of Strategic Planning, Development, Real Estate, and Medical Group Market Lead within Carolinas Healthcare System. He is the shared services executive to multiple lines of business across Carolinas Healthcare System, leading teams acting as primary strategic relationship manager for real estate, aligning real estate and facilities planning, delivery and management with the needs of the business and patients. Responsible for 13.6 million square feet (511 properties) real estate portfolio in North and South Carolina supporting 30,000 teammates. He manages the creation and execution of a $75 million operating budget and account for $84 million in annual real estate deal flow. Prior to joining Carolinas Healthcare in 2013, Tony managed a Vendor Management team responsible for 200 very complex and high impact vendors with an annual spending budget of over $1 billion within Bank of America facilities. Prior to his retirement, he also served in a variety of executive roles with Bank of America during his eighteen year financial industry career. Tony joined Bank of America in 1995 as part of the Management Associate Training Program. He has supported various real estate initiatives including leading the conversion of nationwide signage as a result of the NationsBank and Bank of America merger in 1999. He also served as an Asset Manager for the Charlotte portfolio as well as a Quality Engineer on the nationwide Quality and Productivity team, at which time he received his Six Sigma Green Belt. Tony was Project Director for the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. In this role, he managed a staff of 26 Facility Partner Project Managers in a 23 million square foot portfolio.
