Colleen Leonardo started her railway career in 2008, working during her summer breaks in high school. She started working for the track department at TTR (Toronto Terminal Railway). Ever since then, Colleen has developed a passion for the Rail Industry, after all it is in her blood. Once she finished school, she continued her career working full time in this industry. Fast Forward 9 years, Colleen is now working for PNR RailWorks Inc. as a Project Coordinator on the USRC (Union Station Rail Corridor) Project in Toronto, ON. It is a Design Build project that involves upgrading and replacing the 1920’s signalling system in the Union Station Rail Corridor. Which includes replacing all signals, track circuits and cables in the USRC as well as installing all new solid state interlockings and control equipment, housed in ten signal bungalows powered by ten power bungalows. Her primary responsibilities include financial control, procurement, material tracking and contract administration. Colleen has devoted much of her spare time to volunteer work, including organizing a slow pitch tournament that raised over $30,000.00 for cancer research at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. Colleen also holds an annual Toy Drive on her Birthday to Honor her twin sister, Heather who passed away from cancer in 2012. She has collected over 2,000 toys in 4 years for Children fighting Cancer at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto.
