Steven Zuiderveen is a Senior Safety Specialist with the Motive Power & Equipment Division of the Federal Railroad Administration Office of Railroad Safety. Steve's railroad experience includes steam locomotive fireman, passenger car foreman, project manager for commuter equipment overhaul, construction of new track geometry cars; and in his present position at FRA is a subject matter expert for air brakes and tourist and excursion railroads. Steve also serves as FRA's representative to the AAR Brake Systems Committee.
