Phil MacNitt is the Director of Sales & Marketing for Modern Times Beer, a 5-year-old craft brewery and coffee roaster located in San Diego. Modern Times has grown from a tiny start-up to a regional brewery with 260 employees across five locations in two states. In 2017, Modern Times became the first brewery in California to become employee-owned, with 30 percent of shares now held in common by the company’s staff, with the eventual goal of 100 percent employee-ownership. Modern Times is driven by its values of quality, collaboration, dankness, business ethics, and continuous innovation.
