Dave Tweet grew up in a small agricultural community in north central Montana, and began his grain career in a small country elevator. Throughout his career, he purchased and handled many different types and varieties of grain and specialty crops. In 1986, he began working for Anheuser Busch, sourcing malting barley through a network of growers in Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming. Dave retired as the Western Regional Manager for the seed and elevator operations for Anheuser Busch, with the responsibility of sourcing nearly half of Anheuser Busch’s barley. Dave attended the University of Montana and served in the Montana Air National Guard. Currently, Dave works with the Montana Wheat and Barley Committee, connecting high quality barley growers with markets and end users, with visions of planned growth.
