Diane Tolliver




Tolliver enjoyed a 36-year career with the Indiana State Police, Lab Division, as a forensic document examiner. She was the first female and the first civilian examiner hired, in 1975, by the State Police. Typewriters ruled the world then. She always wanted to be in law enforcement but not as a sworn officer. Perry Mason was her inspiration. Today, Tolliver is active in the Propylaeum Historic Foundation and the Indianapolis Woman’s Club. She and her husband enjoy riding on his BMW motorcycle.
