Keenan is a combat veteran, author, speaker, and peace activist. Born in Grand Rapids, Mich., he was drafted into the Army in 1967. He survived a combat tour in Vietnam (1967-68), during which he was awarded the Silver Star, the nation’s third highest award for gallantry. He worked for more than 30 years within “the system” seeking alternatives to jail and prison for nonviolent offenders. Keenan is not a member of Mensa but was dubbed a “genius” by his Mother. He is also a Superbowl AA Nude Volleyball champion.
