Andrew Levy




Levy is the current Cooper Chair in English at Butler University in Indianapolis. He is the author of Huck Finn's America: Mark Twain and the Era That Shaped His Masterpiece, A Brain Wider Than The Sky: A Migraine Diary, and The First Emancipator: Slavery, Religion, and the Quiet Revolution of Robert Carter. His essays have appeared in Harper's, The American Scholar, Best American Essays, and elsewhere.
