Mark Seem was born into and raised in a family seed business in Pennsylvania, and has spent virtually his entire professional career in the seed industry. Seem Seed Farms was founded in 1936, and when Mark came of working age, he was involved in all aspects of corn breeding, hybrid testing, seed production and marketing until its sale to Seedway in 1974. Educated at Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana, and later at Purdue University, Seem majored in Agronomy and has graduate studies in Plant Breeding, Agricultural Economics and Climatology. Since then, his professional career in the seed industry has included work on corn breeding, corn and soybean production and product advancement, agronomy, and seed sales. Currently he serves as the Technical Agronomist for the LG Seeds Division of AgReliant Genetics, his work revolves around product advancement for corn and soybeans.
