Joo Yeow Lee is a Senior Research Analyst with the IHS Markit Asia Pacific Power, Gas, Coal, and Renewables team. Based in Singapore, Mr. Lee covers the power and renewables markets in Southeast Asia. He has experience in regulation of the electricity and gas sector. This includes market regulations for the competitive sector, comprising licensing frameworks for entry into the sector, market surveillance and monitoring, and market rules development and administration; and economic regulation for the monopoly sector, encompassing revenue and tariff setting for transmission and distribution companies. Prior to joining IHS Markit, Mr. Lee worked at the Energy Market Authority, the energy regulator in Singapore, where he was responsible for regulations in the gas and electricity industry. Mr. Lee holds a BA and an MSc from the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
