I am a Ph.D. in electrical engineer from Indonesia, graduated from German universities and was working for multiple years in Germany in the development of electrical and mechatronic products. Since my return to Indonesia 3 years ago, I was and am strongly involved in consultancy for renewable energy sector, especially solar photovoltaic power plants, both for engineering projects and for regulation level. Beyond that, my team started the development of DC-DC converters since 1.5 years which is specified for rural areas and should be the first Indonesian product in the field of power and voltage converters. Our target application of the DC-DC-converter is the electrification of communities in Indonesia with DC-grids, especially those geographically isolated from the large utility grid.
