Ana Joswig received the Dipl.-Ing. degree in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Dortmund, Germany in 2001 and Dr.-Ing degree in 2007. In this time she worked on University of Dortmund at Institute for Electrical Machines, Drives and Power Electronics as member of research staff with the focus on numerical field calculation of electromagnetic phenomena and electrical machines. The thesis of her dissertation was the calculation of electromagnetical forces at electromagnetical metal sheet forming with concisderation of the structur changing. 2008 she joined the Siemens AG in Mülheim a.d.Ruhr. She works in the electrical calculation section which is part of the department generator concept design. She is responsible for the functional design of turbo generators with focus on electrical performance and thermal limits as well as for the interaction with the power grid as an advanced electrical engineer.
