Richard Shepherd has spent the last 18 years developing policy and procedures around safe operation of all shape and sizes of amusement rides at Drayton Manor Park. Richard sits on the BALPPA safety committee and has recently launched an operational sub group within BALPPA. Richard feels that knowledge sharing of best practises across the sector, is a way that all parks can enhance the guest and staff experience whilst reducing incidents. Looking at safety culture and designing compliant safe systems of work is Richards passion.
