Bastiaan Wissingh received his Master’s degree in System and Network Engineering at the University of Amsterdam in 2012. Since then, he fulfills a position as a scientist at the Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research TNO. As such his main focus and expertise lies within researching and prototyping of new technologies in the field of Mobility, Media Networking and Telecommunications. To that extend he is quite experienced with technologies used within Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) like IEEE 802.11p, ETSI CAM, DENM and ASN.1 but also technologies in the field of media and networking like Information Centric Networking (ICN), Content Delivery Network (CDN)-Interconnection and HTTP Adaptive Streaming (HLS, MPEG DASH) and technologies in the field of telecommunications like Long Term Evolution (LTE) and Machine-to-Machine (M2M). Besides the above described technological experience he is also experienced in participating and contributing to standardization bodies like the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP).
