Dr. Hermann Wietgrefe (born 1962) received his MSc in Telecommunications from Leibniz University Hannover, Germany, in 1990. He then worked at the Leibniz University as a research scientist, later as Associate Professor and Chief Scientist for communication networks. In 2000, he received his Ph.D. from University of Hanover for his research work on network management aspects of mobile networks. In 1999, Hermann Wietgrefe joined the NATO C&I Agency in The Netherlands as a Principal Scientist. From 2005 to 2016, he was the Scientific Lead of the overall deployable CIS program at NCI Agency. In 2016, Hermann joined Service Strategy Department, taking on duties as Principal Enterprise Architect with focus on Deployable CIS, Federated Mission Networking and related architectural areas. Hermann is member of IEEE and a regular contributor to MILCOM.
