Melissa Dodd

Melissa Dodd serves as the Chief Technology Officer for the San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD). Melissa Dodd has effectively increased equity of access to technology and learning opportunities for more than 15 years in leadership roles with the Boston Public Schools (BPS) and SFUSD. Ms. Dodd is currently charged with leading SFUSD’s technology vision, Building a Digital District. The plan articulates the district’s strategy to leverage technology to transform teaching, learning, and operations to realize the goals of Vision 2025 for each and every student to thrive in the 21st century. Melissa earned a B.S from Cornell University and an M.Ed. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Ms. Dodd is the 2017 CoSN Withrow Outstanding CTO of the Year and served on the CoSN Board. Melissa is also the recipient of the 2018 Distinguished Service Award for technology from the Council of the Great City Schools.
