Jon Woofter is the Coordinator of Instructional Innovation for Collier County Public Schools, serving 48,000 students across 52 campuses. He has been in his current role since 2018. After receiving his bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Akron, Jon joined Collier County Public Schools in 2003. Over the past eighteen years, Jon has served in the following roles: intensive reading teacher, instructional technology specialist and network analyst. Currently, Jon works with an amazing team to transform teaching and learning practices through the thoughtful integration of technology. During his tenure, Jon has achieved the following accomplishments: coordinated district-wide Office 365 implementation, coordinated training and implementation for our 1-1 laptop initiative and classroom hardware refresh for 3,200 classrooms. Jon was elected to the Florida Council of Instructional Technology Leaders (FCITL) governing board in 2019. In his downtime, Jon enjoys learning about emerging technology, playing pinball and listening to vinyl records.
