Ken Peterson CKD
President
SEN Design Group

A 1967 graduate of Dartmouth College, Ken Peterson, CKD has more than 50 years of experience in the kitchen and bath industry, including 23 of those years as a Sales Designer, Sales Manager, and President of Signature Kitchen & Bath. At Signature Kitchen & Bath, he expanded a small family kitchen business from one location to four showroom locations in Connecticut, trained 14 Sales Designers - recruited from other industries - on his unique selling system, and generated $4,200,000 in company revenue at consistent 51.5% gross profit margins. During his career, Ken furnished some 18 years of volunteer leadership in the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), the industry's leading trade association, serving as its youngest national president to date in 1981-1982. In the early 1990s, Peterson established Signature Consultants, Inc, to serve as an industry business consultant to dealers and manufacturers, business/sales trainer, conference speaker, and trade magazine columnist before launching the industry’s first buying group for independent kitchen and bath owners in August of 1994. Today, the SEN Design Group counts more than 200 dealer/members from coast-to-coast, as well as 60 of the industry’s leading vendors as marketing partners. SEN is considered by many as the industry's largest buying group and best source to help grow a dealer's top and bottom lines. For example, SEN recently introduced the first industry-specific, full cycle management system - known as Network Management System (NMS) - to its membership that automates scores of operational functions between integrating with CAD on the front-end and Quickbooks on the back-end. As a result, dealer operations are streamlined and team productivity substantially improved. Still president of the SEN Design Group, Peterson serves as a mentor/consultant to his executive team headed by Dan Luck, a long-time SEN Member with a kitchen/bath business in Madison, WI.
