Thomas J. (TJ) Romano is a founding partner of the intellectual property law firm Kolitch Romano LLP of Portland, Oregon. TJ represents both domestic and international clients on patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret matters in a wide array of technology areas and industries. He handles all aspects of IP law, as noted above. TJ is active in the IP community, including currently serving as the Chair of the Unfair Competition Committee of the International Trademark Association (INTA), an international organization advocating on behalf of brand owners worldwide. TJ has also received industry recognition, including being recognized as an AV® Preeminent™ attorney by Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Rated Lawyer, in the World’s Leading Trademark Professionals World Trademark Review®, and as a Rising Star and Super Lawyer in Oregon by the Super Lawyers publication. TJ also speaks and writes articles pertinent to IP law. He has a J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law and a B.S. in Chemistry from Tufts University.
