Turner Construction
Conor is Turner Construction Company’s regional legal counsel supporting the Great Lakes and Canadian operations. His career started in the construction operations as a superintendent, project engineer and cost engineer which provides him a practical viewpoint and technical knowhow to resolve transactional and claim related issues. Conor serves Turner in negotiating construction contracts with Turner’s clients. Furthermore, Conor negotiates consultant agreements with architecture consultants on design-build projects. Where required by the transaction, he has negotiated lender requirements with equity / debt financing entities either as a borrower or as the contractor within a consortium. Conor is experienced in negotiating terms with banks and sureties on letter of credit and bond forms. He also advices Turner’s management and coordinates resolution of contract and construction defect claims. Specific market experience includes negotiating contracts with both public and private clients in the healthcare, database, pharma, commercial real estate, higher education, industrial, utility, sports / entertainment, airport and museum markets. Transaction types include master agreements, design / bid / build, design build, IPD, public private partnership and EPC styled procurements. Conor assists Turner’s operations in execution of construction operations including dispute resolution, as necessary, in enforcing or defending construction related issues.
