Guy Carpenter is the President of Hemp Horizon USA and Bear Fiber Inc. in Wilmington, NC, the leading hemp supply chain management company for hemp fiber, yarn, textiles and private label fully finished apparel. He has over 30 years of experience on five continents in sourcing, apparel manufacturing, distribution and sales including a decade of management consulting in the Fashion Industry. He has managed off shore manufacturing facilities, created successful brands and worked with global brands to develop sustainable textile and apparel programs. His focus on textile quality evolved into a passion for natural fibers and sustainability. He serves as a commissioner for the North Carolina Industrial Hemp Pilot Program. Mr. Carpenter earned a BA from the College of Charleston and an MBA in International Business from the University of South Carolina. He has served as both a Peace Corps Volunteer (Niger, West Africa) and in the U.S. Army (Airborne/Air Assault Calvary Scout).
