Daniela Villarreal




Daniela Villarreal is a 31-year-old photographer based in Monterrey, Mexico. She began her career in New York City and established herself professionally over a decade ago. She has had the opportunity to present her personal and wedding work in Mexico, USA, France, Belgium and Italy and Colombia. Daniela was recognized in 2021 by LAP Foundation within the long-standing portrait category, selected by Rangefinder Magazine NYC as "30 Rising Star" in 2019 and recognized by Fujifilm X series USA. She has been published in L’Officiel Mexico, Architectural Digest Mexico, Rangefinder, Shoot if with Film, among others. In addition to documenting weddings around the world, Daniela documents her own experiences in analog photography influenced by her art direction on current and past personal projects. She currently works in her first solo exhibition “Frutal Crime” and is co-founder of Bengala, an analog photographic laboratory based in Monterrey, México.
