Cody Lund serves as the Assistant Executive Director of Boise Centre located in Boise, Idaho. Cody oversees the operations, audio visual, facilities, custodial, events, and in-house food and beverage departments within Boise Centre. Born and raised in Boise, Idaho, Cody attended Boise State University briefly before joining Boise Centre in 2005 and has spent the last 13+ years working in many capacities and carrying many titles. Starting at an entry-level operations position, he moved his way up the ladder with the help and support of Boise Centre and their unwavering commitment to developing internal talent and investing in their employees. Cody helped develop a trademarked internal culture and employee recognition program at Boise Centre called “Wowgistics”, which they believe is a main ingredient to their continued success, not only as Idaho’s premier event venue but as one of Idaho’s best places to work. He is an active member of International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM) and, currently going into his first term in a leadership role for Region 4 of IAVM. He is a certified Risk Manager as well as a proud 2015 Venue Management School graduate. Cody strongly believes in servant leadership and making sure that employees are engaged and having fun at work through motivation, recognition, and accountability. The best part of his job is the amazing Team of creative and passionate professionals he has the pleasure of working and interacting with on a daily basis. While Boise Centre may not be the biggest, his belief is that they can “do the little things in a BIG way”. Employee engagement, retention, recruiting, guest satisfaction scores, and several recent local and national awards are just a few of the key metrics we use to measure if our culture is working. He wants everyone to know that Idaho is more than potatoes and blue turf!
