Heather Durtschi is the Sr. Director of Learning- Content Design & Development for Walmart. She has been with Walmart for over 30 years, in both Operations and HR generalist/Talent Development roles. In this current role, she oversees the curriculum strategy and content development of the training for the 1.4M associates within US People, US Stores & Home Office Academies, Realty & Supply Chain. Her team is responsible for conducting training needs assessments and providing training solutions to include implementation, administration, and/or design and delivery of high-quality programs that engage, align, inform, and inspire associates in support of business strategy, goals, and initiatives. The customizable and comprehensive framework to upskill and train the associates is centered around evaluation, experience, exposure and education. Currently the learning solutions delivery ecosystem is utilizing a variety of modalities such as VR, AR, Gaming, Mobile Learning, ILT’s, trainers, and coaches.
