Joanna Kalantzis is a Senior Manager of Internal Communications and Engagement at Discover. She joined Discover in 2000 and has held various positions in Corporate Communications including managing the company’s charitable activities and various employee communications channels. For the last several years, Joanna has overseen Discover’s employee engagement and recognition strategy to drive retention and performance. Joanna has developed programs to inform, engage and motivate employees based on company-wide initiatives that grow their business with the goal of influencing thinking, driving behavior change and enhancing the culture. She significantly expanded the Discover’s recognition activity by introducing a comprehensive recognition portal, called Bravo, which is hosted by Achievers and is used by all 16,500 employees globally. She has streamlined the company’s annual recognition ceremony to provide a consistent, best-in-class experience for employees and motivate them for future performance.
