Mr. Szakal is responsible for IBM’s industry solution technology strategy in support of federal government customers. His team provides deep industry and technical expertise necessary to address complex government challenges such as Cybersecurity, AI and Cloud Computing. Recently Mr. Szakal was elected to the Chair of the Board of Directors for The Open Group, a technology industry open standards consortia. He currently holds the Chair of the Trusted Technology Forum responsible for the ISO/IEC-20243 SCRM standard. Andras received an undergraduate degree in Biology and Computer Science (’84) and holds a Master in Computer Science (’89) from James Madison University.
