Pat L. Tapia has been Deputy Director for the City of Tucson since October 2015. From 2003 to 2015, he was the Environmental Service Administrator for Operations. Mr. Tapia has more than 28 years of experience in the solid waste and recycling industry. He began his career as a residential driver and moved into various management positions throughout his career in the private sector with Browning Ferris Industries, USA Waste, Waste Management and Friedman Recycling. He currently manages all Collections Operations, the Los Reales Landfill and Code Enforcement.
