Rebecca George serves as the Executive Director of the Washington Indian Gaming Association (WIGA) where she works on state and federal policy issues on behalf of 25 Washington Tribes. Prior to her work at WIGA, Rebecca held a position with the Governor’s Office of Indian Affairs in Washington State. While at the Governor’s Office, Rebecca worked as a liaison between Governor Gregoire and tribal leaders in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. Rebecca is a citizen of the Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe and lives in Olympia, WA with her daughter, Seya. She volunteers her time with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Native Vote Washington, a grassroots organization working to increase Native voting in every election.
