Darryl Flood Sr. was recently promoted to Assistant Manager of the Street and Bridge Maintenance Branch in the Public Works Department. Darryl began his career 22 years ago with the City of Houston as a laborer in the Roadside Ditching Division. As a laborer, Darryl developed a passion for ensuring that the Houston streets were safe for driving. In his current managerial role, one of his duties involves addressing customer complaints and going out in the field when the need arises. Darryl has always exhibited strong leadership, communication, and management skills. Darryl has been a member of APWA since 2014 and enjoys attending conferences where he can learn from other individuals and become more of an asset in the Public Works Department.
