M.J. Carnevale's background is as an interdisciplinary ecologist working on the relationships between uplands and water ways. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Forest Resource Management, a master’s degree in Business with an agricultural specialization, as well as a master’s degree in Soil and Water Science. In his role as the Public Works Director he has brought his knack for data driven systems thinking to drive many new approaches to a variety of programs that directly impact the Winter Haven community. Examples include revitalizing the City’s approach to solid waste services, road repaving, urban forest management, and fleet optimization. M.J. is also actively engaged in a variety of civic organizations and constantly strives to give back to his community in meaningful ways.
