Dr. Stewart has been involved in acoustics since 1967 and consulting full time starting in 1981 after obtaining his Ph.D. from NC State University. Projects have covered the broad spectrum of architectural acoustics, environmental and community noise, and industrial-occupational noise control. He is a past president of the National Council of Acoustical Consultants, a Fellow and 50-year member of the Acoustical Society of America, a Fellow of ASTM International participating actively in standards development, and in 2018 received the Laymon Miller Medal for excellence in acoustical consulting from the Institute of Noise Control Engineering-USA.
