A Glen has a broad range of experience in the design of Communities for Seniors. From 1976 when with CSD Architect, he led the design team which designed Baltimore’s first “CCRC”, now known as “Life Plan Communities”. His career spans some 45 years, in all aspects of Senior Living for for-profit and not for-profit providers, including Universities and Religious affiliations and throughout the United States and selected international consultations Mr. Tipton is a highly recognized speaker both nationally and internationally at a variety of conventions and seminars on the subject of design and development of retirement communities and related senior environments. He was elevated to a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) for his career-long dedication to quality design for older adults, including chairing the AIA’s “Design for Aging” committee. Glen retired from Hord Coplan Macht in 2021 and now provides consultation for senior living providers and is a Board Member of Broadmead, a Life Plan Community in Baltimore.
