Equipped with a master’s degree from the London School of Economics, after a 10-year career as an economist, Vassar chose to change her career to work with elders. She obtained a master’s degree in gerontology from Naropa University and became CEO of Rose Villa, a nonprofit CCRC, in 2006. With financial rigor and resident focus, she builds partnerships with residents to create vibrant environments. Her goal is to break down negative stereotypes and vision senior living in new and innovative ways, which have been key to the financial success and renewed strength of Rose Villa today.
