Richard is the principal of the 3RB Consulting Group LLC, a company that utilizes its extensive global network to put companies and clients together that may need services in cybersecurity, assessments, and cyber training through partnership with Cy-Vantage LLC and investigative data analytics through NTi Investigative and Analytical Support Services for law firms and corporate and government clients. Richard graduated from Texas State University in 1975 with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and was named a Distinguished Alumnus in 2005. In 2019, he was named to TSU’s Board of Trustees for the Development Foundation, where he and his spouse started a scholarship endowment fund for first-generation college students. Upon his graduation, Richard joined the Dallas Police Department and after five years joined the FBI, where he retired after 25 years of service in 2005 as an Assistant Director in Charge of the Los Angeles Field Office. During his career with the FBI, Richard received numerous awards for investigative and managerial operations, including the Attorney General’s Award and the Presidential Rank Award. Upon retirement, Richard joined Shell Oil Company as its Global Security Manager and later took a position as Senior Vice President at Vanguard Defense Industries, an unmanned aerial system aviation and aerospace firm, until he started 3RB.
