Caroline Conte is the Director of Community Relations for Houston and Southeast Texas. In her role, she supports locally TXOGA’s mission of promoting and protecting the oil and gas industry in Texas as well as advocating for sound public policy. She has a decade of experience as a public affairs professional in both state and local politics. Before joining TXOGA, she was a member of the Government Affairs team for the Greater Houston Builders Association, where she focused on developing and guiding regulatory policy following Hurricane Harvey as well as managing the Association’s Political Action Committee. Caroline also spent five years working for Texas Governor Greg Abbott in Austin, Texas. She joined his legislative affairs team in 2014, promoting the priorities of the state’s highest executive office and managing the evaluation of over 14,000 pieces of legislation. She also worked throughout his record-breaking and high-profile election campaign as communications coordinator for both traditional press and new media. Caroline is a graduate of Texas Christian University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Broadcast Journalism. She lives in Houston with her husband Steven.
