Shannon McGraw Carr
Founder
Hopeful Hearts Ministry

Shannon is a mental health peer support specialist and an incest and rape survivor. She is the author of Exposed and Redeemed and founder of Hopeful Hearts Ministry. Shannon has spoken across the U.S. and internationally, addressing the realities and effects of abuse in our culture and the graces faith provides for one’s healing journey. Traveling the country and the world, Shannon’s desire is to be a voice for survivors of abuse and to encourage them, regardless of age, gender, or race, to begin the conversation about their experience. She says the more we talk about it, the better the chance the cycle will be broken. Shannon’s background as a specialist in trauma has given her the insight into learned and subconscious behaviors that can cloud and disrupt both work and personal relationships that keep survivors of abuse from achieving the next level of success.
