Re:work Training

Technology has had a major impact on the workforce, but it's often been biased towards white males. That is why Shelton Banks tackles one of today’s biggest challenges head-on - closing diversity gap in tech industry by helping Black and Brown people get jobs as technology sales representatives by means of a 501(c)3 non-profit called re:work training. Shelton believes more than just education or experience can qualify; he shows them how they might be better suited for certain positions through career coaching sessions that lead overlooked communities closer to achieving the goal of closing the wage gap. Shelton's coaching has helped individuals, often without traditional experience or college degrees, earn a base salary of $55K. He is certified as both an energized D.E.I. Consultant and Gallup Strengths Coach which he regularly uses to help change the way organizations think about DEI training in their talent pipeline by taking creative approaches toward nontraditional problems with innovative solutions that can be applied globally! He recently spoke at TEDxWrigleyville on his expertise--"ReWorking The Wage Gap
