Doug began serving as a Guardhat advisor in Jan 2021, after retiring from a 33-year career with United States Steel (USS) Corporation. While at USS, Doug improved lagging indicator safety results to 10x over the BLS's composite for the domestic industry and led efforts to engage with the workforce further improving safety performance, earning trust and respect from the Union and its membership.
