Kasey Ortoski’s career in the Information Technology (IT) field began with supporting the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) and she is now working with the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD)/United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM). Her current duties consist of fulfilling the roles of Deputy Director of Mission Operations. Her passion for people and collaboration, and a drive to learn new technologies, led her to be hand-selected for the USSOCOM Innovation Team, where she started her journey with Jacobs and served as the Deputy of the Modernization Infrastructure Team and as a Senior IT Project Manager. Ms. Ortoski obtained a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Tampa. Additionally, she is currently in the process of obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy in Organizational Leadership. She has earned Project Management Professional (PMP), Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM), Certified Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Practitioner, Certified SAFe Architect, and Certified SAFe Agile Software Engineer certifications. Continuous learning is a significant focus within her efforts due to the ever-evolving nature of the technology field. Ms. Ortoski is a 2021 AFCEA Emerging Leaders 40 under 40 Award winner; this award recognizes individuals for their contributions in the technology field by providing innovation, thought leadership, and support to their client or organizations using information technology (IT).
