Mike Nash

Mr. Nash joined General Dynamics IT in 2020 as the Model-based systems engineering lead for the $110M+ Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Digital Engineering Environment program. Currently, he is the technical lead and chief engineer of the program. He provides technical direction to over 120 highly skilled fully remote professionals delivering the cutting-edge combination of Model Based System Engineering construct and an Agile Software Factory to improve operational, design, and acquisition decisions through a comprehensive digital engineering environment. Prior to GDIT, Mike delivered IT services via facility renovation in the European continent for 8 years. In this role, he created a business unit that eventually grew to over $25M in revenue. He managed and executed all phases of the project lifecycle, and he developed innovative digital engineering solutions that automated design and testing processes. Prior to working in Europe, Mike spent 8 years as a DoD civilian working for the Naval Information Warfare Center. During this time, he served in several roles, including lead architect of the re-design of N4 (logistics) IT systems portfolio and the lead engineer for Naval COMOPTEVFOR test and evaluation projects Mr. Nash holds a Bachelor of Science in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University, and a master’s degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Georgia Tech. He is a licensed professional engineering in Industrial and Systems Engineering. He currently lives in Seattle, WA with his wife and two kids and enjoys outdoor and volunteer activities.
