Amanda Dainton, Ph.D., joined Freshpet as a project leader in the strategic quality and process development group in May 2021. Her role involves evaluating current and novel pet food production methodologies in terms of product quality, food safety and animal nutrition. She earned her doctoral degree from Kansas State University and conducted research with the university’s Pet Food Processing Laboratory. Dainton also holds a master’s degree in nutritional sciences from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a bachelor’s degree in feed science and management from Kansas State University.
