Micah Kohles, DVM, MPA, earned his DVM from Kansas State University and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. He joined Oxbow Animal Health, now Compana Pet Brands, as vice president of technical services and research in 2006 and, in 2023, was appointed chief veterinary officer. Additionally, he owns and actively practices at Woodland Animal Hospital and serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Nebraska School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Kohles is an active member of many professional organizations and serves on the World Pet Association board of directors, vice-chair of the Nebraska Board of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery and, in the past, has served on the boards of the Nebraska Veterinary Medical Association and Lincoln Children’s Zoo.
