Avon and Somerset Police
Stuart King is a British Police Temporary Inspector working for the Avon and Somerset Constabulary in the city of Bristol. Stuart began his career over 18 years ago with Thames Valley Police in 2003, before transferring to the Avon and Somerset force in 2006. Stuart has worked in uniformed positions throughout his service to-date and has specialized in additional areas of policing. This has included Response & Neighbourhood Policing, CBRN (policing such events as the 2012 Olympics), Football (Soccer) intelligence working across the UK for domestic and international fixtures, Public Order (PSU), Police Officer tutoring, Youth Justice and Citizens in Policing. SGT. King currently leads a team of response Officers who answer emergency 999 calls and patrol the areas of Bristol and South Gloucestershire. It is in addition to Stuart’s core role that he also leads on project that utilizes technology to protect people living with Dementia and who are at risk of becoming a missing person-much of this work has been done in his own free time outside of work. This project is now into its 7th year and has received national and international attention with Stuart appearing on the BBC and other media sources.
