Marianne Roth

Marianne Roth is serving as the first Chief Risk Officer for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and has responsibility for the CFPB Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), internal policies, external audit oversight and coordination, and operational governance programs. Marianne was awarded AFERM Leader of the Year in 2020 and won the Theodore Roosevelt Government Leadership Award in the “Visionaries” category in 2019 for her work in establishing CFPB’s ERM program. She served as the Branch Manager for ERM at the Transportation Security Administration. She oversaw all ERM activities at TSA and led the agency’s efforts to significantly mature its ERM program. Marianne was the Director of the DHS Efficiency Review in the Office of the Secretary, DHS. She has worked for various consulting firms including BearingPoint and Booz Allen Hamilton where she led many complex process improvement engagements for diverse Federal clients.
