Julie Irene Bost
Associate Clinical Professor and Program Coordinator
University of North Carolina Greensboro
Dr. Bost is an Associate Clinical Professor and Program Coordinator for the Department of Specialized Education Services at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. In this role, she coordinates the special education programs, teaches undergraduate and graduate level courses, and supervises student teachers. Dr. Bost has twenty years of experience in public education including that of program administrator and special education teacher. She has presented throughout the country on various topics, including co-teaching, IEPs, culturally responsive teaching, transition planning, and positive behavior strategies and support. Dr. Julie Bost is a leader in the field of special education and a longstanding member of CEC. She is currently the 2025 President of the International Council of Exceptional Children, has served as President of the North Carolina Council for Exceptional Children, is a National Board Certified Teacher, and was the ARC of Stanly County Teacher of the Year. Dr. Bost has also served for over ten years on the CASE Executive Board as Membership Chair and as the Research Committee Chair.
