Jessica Cohoon Daughtridge is a passionate and results-driven educational leader with over two decades of experience in public education. Currently serving as the Principal of Englewood Elementary School, she has a proven track record of enhancing instructional leadership, improving student outcomes, and fostering a culture of excellence among educators. Throughout her career, Jessica has held various administrative roles, including Assistant Principal at multiple elementary and middle schools, Director of the Williford Family Resource Center, and high school English teacher. Her expertise spans curriculum development, teacher mentorship, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), and school-community collaboration. She has played a pivotal role in implementing targeted intervention strategies, supporting beginning teachers, and ensuring high-quality instruction in diverse learning environments. With an Executive Leadership Add-On License from Gardner-Webb University, a Master’s in Reading Education from East Carolina University, and a Bachelor's in English from North Carolina Wesleyan College, Jessica brings a strong academic foundation to her leadership. She is also a graduate of the Aspiring Leader Program for Nash-Rocky Mount Public Schools and has contributed to curriculum development for English I & II. A firm believer in the power of education to transform lives, Jessica is committed to creating inclusive, student-centered learning environments where all students can thrive. She is a proud member of Delta Kappa Gamma and the Golden Key National Honor Society, reflecting her dedication to educational excellence. Jessica continues to lead with integrity, innovation, and a deep commitment to preparing students and educators for success in an ever-evolving world.
