Ms. Laura Fitzgerald is an experienced executive leader, having held school administrator roles since 2016. She is also an experienced board member, school accreditation evaluator and community organizer. Ms. Fitzgerald is passionate about developing collaborative initiatives across the entire education sector, believing that improved communication and cooperation will lead to better outcomes for ALL children and their families. Ms. Fitzgerald believes that educators of the 21st century are not only responsible for teaching academics, but also for increasing students' access to the digital economy. As the founder and owner of Level Up 212, Ms. Fitzgerald mentors high school juniors and seniors in their journey to post-secondary success through various initiatives including "Breakfast Brainstorming" meetups and matching high school students with local businesses in need of virtual interns. Ms. Fitzgerald holds a B.S. degree in Exercise Science from Montclair State University as well as a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from The College of New Jersey’s Global Education Program that she completed in Mallorca, Spain. She earned an additional Masters in Adolescent Special Education from SUNY Empire State College. She is a graduate of the Long Island High School for the Arts and continues to champion support for the arts in schools through her service on various boards and committees.
