Carrie Brandon, M. Ed., is a fourth-year doctoral student and research coordinator at Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation at Arizona State University. Prior to moving to Arizona State University, Carrie spent over 20 years as a student service director, program coordinator, and teacher having taught special education, general education, gifted education, and alternative education. Broadly, her research interests involve behavior management, special education, and educator preparation and retention.. Carrie is a National Board-Certified Teacher gaining certification as an Exceptional Needs Specialist. She holds degrees in Master in Business Administration from Western Washington University, Masters in Special Education from Western New Mexico University, a Master’s in Education Leadership from Northern Arizona University, and a graduate certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from Arizona State University. She is currently a doctoral student at Arizona State University. She is passionate about classroom management strategies, behavior management, multitiered systems of support, professional development, and teacher retention and support systems. She frequently presents at conferences and provides professional development to a variety of audiences
